Week three !

Hey guys woohoo it's week three that is so crazy I can't even believe it! This week was actually pretty chill, not too much going on. I am really starting to feel more at home. It has been really nice to feel like I'm just living normally instead of feeling like I need to go do something and see something new all the time. I think this week I found a good balance of getting out and seeing new things and exploring but also taking it slow and enjoying everyday. I had some more class this week, same as last week, 9:00-1:00 Monday through Friday and I love my class so much, I'm so sad the intensive is almost over. This was our last full week of class and then we have finals on Tuesday of this week so wish me luck. If I pass my finals I get to move up a level in Spanish before the semester starts and take all my classes in Spanish, so that would be epic. Like I said this week was pretty chill. Brenna, Anda and I went back to the jazz cafe for some milkshakes which were so good, I got a cappuccino milkshake. On Wednesday, Brenna, Anda, Cobb and I went with our best friend Alberto to tour the old silk market, the cathedral and the tomb of the catholic monarchs. It was incredible, the cathedral was so huge and stunning and all the details are insane. The decoration and the painting and the side chapels and all the history and the way everything was tied together. Man it was so cool to see, I would love to go back there and just sit and look at everything. It's all crazy because I walk past the entrance to the silk market almost everyday and I had no idea it was from the 13th century. The tomb of the catholic monarchs was also so beautiful, you can't take pictures in there but just trust. Los Reyes Católicos were the queen and king who were ruling in Spain when Granada and the Alhambra were conquered and they were also the monarchs to send out Christopher Columbus. So that was kinda surreal to see their tombs and also some of their belongings. In a side room of the tomb/church there is a room with the sword of the king and the scepter and crown of the queen and so much more. It was awesome. The next day on Thursday I made my friends go with me to get Mexican food. I've been missing chips and queso so much and this restaurant really hit the spot. I would go back right now if they wanted to. On Friday I went to a concert for La Union which is a spanish band I know a few songs from. It was really fun, I went by myself so I was nervous but I ended up having a great time and I'm glad that I went. On Saturday Brenna Anda and I went on a hike up past the Alhambra to a place that I'm not really sure what it was. It was part lookout and part olive tree orchard and part hike, but it was really fun. The hike was almost 7 miles so we decided we earned a treat for after. We went back to Tetería Al Waha and got some tea and Arabic pastries. I got Moroccan mint tea and I don't even know that kind of pastry, I just pointed to the menu, but it was so good. After tea we all took a nap/ rest break and then headed out for tapas. I love tapas. We tried a new place last night that I forgot to take a picture of but it was an incredible little chicken and lettuce mixture wrapped in pita bread. I will be back there. Anyways that's pretty much all I have for this week, next week is gonna be super awesome though so stay tuned for that! Miss you guys!!I'm never gonna stop taking pics out my window, the sunrise is so gorgeous.you are probably thinking how good those oranges look to eat but actually you can't eat them because they are so bitter which is so sad because they look incredible
