Week three !

Image
Hey guys woohoo it's week three that is so crazy I can't even believe it! This week was actually pretty chill, not too much going on. I am really starting to feel more at home. It has been really nice to feel like I'm just living normally instead of feeling like I need to go do something and see something new all the time. I think this week I found a good balance of getting out and seeing new things and exploring but also taking it slow and enjoying everyday. I had some more class this week, same as last week, 9:00-1:00 Monday through Friday and I love my class so much, I'm so sad the intensive is almost over. This was our last full week of class and then we have finals on Tuesday of this week so wish me luck. If I pass my finals I get to move up a level in Spanish before the semester starts and take all my classes in Spanish, so that would be epic. Like I said this week was pretty chill. Brenna, Anda and I went back to the jazz cafe for some milkshakes which were so go...

Week two !

Hello everyone! Welcome back for week 2. This week was actually very chill and I didn't do much but ofc I'll still update. On Sunday I went with Anda and Brenna to the San Nicolas lookout to watch the sunset over the Alhambra. That lookout might be my favorite place in the city, it's so gorgeous. I had school Monday through Friday this week, 9:00-1:00 and I'm still loving it. It's a lot of spanish and sometimes it can feel really long but I feel like even after just two weeks I am improving. So it's all worth it. Tuesday was one of the best days ever. Cobb and I went took the bus to the Malaga airport and we finally picked up our suitcases. I am so so so glad to have all my things back. On Wednesday, the 4 of us AIFS students went with Alberto, one of our coordinators, to tour the old neighborhood in Granada called the Albaicín. It's definitely my favorite place to go walk around the city, it's absolutely gorgeous and there's so much history. We walk...

Wow guys I can't believe I've been in Granada for a week now. Well tomorrow it will have been a week but still this is crazy. I have been loving it so much, the city is so beautiful. I'll just walk you guys through what I've been doing recently! Starting off with landing in the airport, everything was so awesome and I was so excited until our bags never came out of the baggage claim. And that was a really sad surprise. None of our checked bags made it with us to Granada, so all I had was a carry on full of shoes. Fast forward to today and I still don't have my suitcase. But that's totally ok I've been doing good. Anyways I got to my host home in Granada at about 7:30 on Monday and I had some dinner, talked with my host mom Begoña and then I went to bed. Begoña is super awesome and very kind and I love living here, I'll put a picture of my room and of the view. The next day on Tuesday we had orientation with AIFS, a tour of the city and a lunch of tapas w...

Woohoo we are off!! Just got through security and we are waiting at our gate until we leave at 6:55! This is so exciting but also it still doesn't feel real at all. I actually can't believe I'm about to be there for the next 5 months. That's pretty much all that's happening right now, I just wanted to make sure the blog was going to work!
