Week two !
Hello everyone! Welcome back for week 2. This week was actually very chill and I didn't do much but ofc I'll still update. On Sunday I went with Anda and Brenna to the San Nicolas lookout to watch the sunset over the Alhambra. That lookout might be my favorite place in the city, it's so gorgeous. I had school Monday through Friday this week, 9:00-1:00 and I'm still loving it. It's a lot of spanish and sometimes it can feel really long but I feel like even after just two weeks I am improving. So it's all worth it. Tuesday was one of the best days ever. Cobb and I went took the bus to the Malaga airport and we finally picked up our suitcases. I am so so so glad to have all my things back. On Wednesday, the 4 of us AIFS students went with Alberto, one of our coordinators, to tour the old neighborhood in Granada called the Albaicín. It's definitely my favorite place to go walk around the city, it's absolutely gorgeous and there's so much history. We walked all over the whole neighborhood and saw some pretty views, some old Arabic houses, a beautiful Carmen (which is a type of house/property) owned by the university and we ended the tour back up at San Nicolas. After the tour we went to a tea house and I had a really good tea and baclava. Thursday was Brenna's birthday, so we went to the jazz club right by where I live to celebrate. It was so cool in there, so many decorations and there was always someone playing the piano. Friday we went out to get tapas and then on Saturday we also had tapas and then we checked out the discoteca, which was so fun. So overall super good week, nothing too crazy but I really nice fun week. I am starting to feel more at home here and I can't wait to go explore more of the city and the country.
