week 18

Wooohooooooo week eighteen!! This week was epicccccc. Nothing too crazy happened during school, just finishing up all the last units before finals. This was the second-to-last week before finals, which is unreal. I love my classes so much. I think I say this in every blog, but I am so sad for them to be over. On Monday after school, I got to see my aunt Kellie! She was here visiting with her friend Jenny and it was so much fun to show them around. That afternoon, we went to a great tea house for tea and pastries, then we walked up to a lookout in the Albaicín, then I showed them my school, we saw my apartment and then finally went to a second hand store. It was a good, full day. That evening, I met up with my friends and we got some tacos/nachos/enchilladas and we sat and ate them in the park. We caught up about our weekend trips and celebrated cinco de mayo. The next morning I woke and went to work at a coffee shop before class because I had to do some homework. During my first class of the day, we took a field trip up to a carmen in the Albaicín that was transformed into a museum that was really cool and pretty. We learned about the water systems that the people have used throughout the history of Granada to get water to the Alhambra and the Albaicín. My second class was normal and then I went home for quick lunch and nap. After lunch I met up with Kellie and Jenny at Om Kolsum, which is my favorite tapas place and we had some tapas. After tapas we went to the cathedral and it was so gorgeous, like always. After the cathedral, we walked around some more, saw some more shops and then walked up to San Nicolas lookout for the sunset. And it was a beautiful sunset that night. When we walked back down, we stopped for some tapas dinner at La Gran Taberna and it was delicious. The next day, after lunch and nap time, I did some work for school and then I went to say bye to Kellie and Jenny before they headed to Malaga. We took a taxi to the bus station and then I walked from there to go play volleyball. It was an epic Wednesday volleyball session, so much fun. Then we watched soccer for a little but before going home. Later that night, we all met up to go back out together and it was awesome. It was ladies night so we all got to go for free and laugh and sing and dance and it was so so much fun! The next day, after class and nap and lunch, my friends and I went to a lookout to watch the sunset and it was gorgeous. Oh also my music video came out this week. On Friday, I cleaned my room in the morning, then met up with my friends for some tea at a tea shop after lunch. On the way home we all got matching I heart Granada shirts that are so cute. That night, we met up one of the lookouts to watch the sunset and scrapbook and read and laugh. On Friday, I woke up and then headed to meet the rest of the program to go to the beach in Nerja! It was an amazing day. When we first got there, we went to a boardwalk/lookout and then we walked down to our beach. We met up with some of our other friends on the beach and we got settled in. We jumped off the rock near the beach, I snorkled, we swam and it was great. Then we jumped off some super epic 40ft tall cliffs down the beach. We swam to one beach over, then hiked up some rocks and grass to the cliffs and then ofc, jumped off. After jumping we had to swim all the way back to the original beach, but it was so fun and so worth it. After we got back, I dried off and then we met up again to play sand volleyball. It was awesome, I love sand volleyball. After a few rounds of volleyball, I grabbed some ice cream and then we waited on the beach for the bus back home. The ride back home was great, until our tire popped on the highway. We had to pull over and our driver and Alberto fixed the tire in record time and boom we were back on the road. When we got back, I immediately got ready and went to bed, and I slept so good. On Sunday, today, I woke up a little later than normal and then got ready and met my friends for brunch at a cafe in the Albaicín and it was so good. I got toast with goat cheese and tomato. After brunch, we went to an art market and then I headed home for awhile and did some work/studying. After lunch and my nap, I met up with my friends in the park for awhile where we scrapbooked/laughed/talked, all the things we normally do. After the park, I came home dinner with Begoña and now I am about to go to bed! Overall this week was great, I had so much fun at the beach and it was just an amazing week. Miss you guys!
